Academy Awards presentation evening

The 14th annual Academy Awards Presentation evening was held in the Crowne Plaza Hotel last night.

Awards were presented to the U12, U13, U14, U15 and U16 teams for their efforts over the season.

The Frankie Taylor award was presented to young player Kyle Flynn and the James Elliott trophy was presented to young Charlie Allen who made his first team debut at Coleraine on the last day of the season aged just 15.

The special guest at the event was the former Northern Ireland international Keith Gillespie and also in attendance were team manager David Healy, first team coach Darren Murphy, recruitment and development officer Willie McKeown and team attendant Andy Kerr MBE.

Linfield Trustee Paul Weir and directors Ronnie Morrison and Andy Conn, as well as former chairman Jim Kerr and former chief scout Jim Emery were also present at the enjoyable event.

Academy director Glenn Ferguson extended the appreciation of everyone at the club to all the coaches, staff, players and parents for all the sacrifices and hard work they had put in over the course of the season.
