Ladies captain delighted to help promote new Nike Linfield kit

Posted : 30th June 2013

Linfield Ladies captain Sarah Venney spoke to Linfieldfc.com after taking part in the photo shoot to promote the forthcoming release of the new Nike Linfield 2013/14 season kit.

"It's a lovely new kit for Linfield and it was great for Emma, Mairead and I to be here today taking part in the photo shoot for the release of the new Nike Linfield kit. We all hope it's a great success for all at the club and we look forward to wearing it in due course.

The Children's Hospice is a wonderful cause for Linfield to be promoting on the shirt and the more support the Hospice gets as a result of this, the better, as the Hospice deserves the support of everyone in Northern Ireland for all the tremendous work they do.

It was lovely to meet David Jeffrey and 4 of his players here today. It was the first time we got to meet David and hopefully, he'll get down to watch one of our games, as he'd be very welcome and support from him would be a great boost for all the girls.

We're all keen to push on in our league campaign and we're delighted to be making good progress in 3 different cup competitions. We're all working hard with our new management team and we're aiming to finish our season as strongly as possible.

The spirit in the squad is excellent and on behalf of the girls, I just want to wish David and all the lads all the best for their midweek game in Europe and of course, the league campaign when it gets underway."
