Chris Casement discusses his return to Linfield.
"I'm delighted to be coming back to Linfield. It's obviously taken some time before it could all be concluded so I'm just relieved it's all sorted and I can concentrate fully on footballing matters.
I'm looking forward to getting started and hopefully being involved in a few pre season games and challenging for a place in the first team for the opening game of the season.
I'm really looking forward to working with David Healy. I know most of the backroom staff and I know a lot of the players so it shouldn't be too difficult settling back in again. It's a different set up in terms of the stadium but the ground is really taking shape and I can't wait to start playing there hopefully on a regular basis.
Linfield is renowned for being a family club and I've had lots of positive messages and words of welcome back to the club from people inside the club and from many supporters too, so that has been really nice and much appreciated.
I really enjoyed my time at Portadown. They gave me game time and helped progress me as a player but I just feel this is the right time for a new challenge in my career.
When I knew that Linfield wanted to sign me, there was only one place I wanted to go and I just feel this move is right for me and my family at this time.
I'm hungry for success and I've come to Linfield to play under a manager who's hungry for success. I really want to play my part in helping to bring success to the club."
