David Healy provides an injury update.

"I want to advise our supporters that Andrew Waterworth picked up a knee injury in the closing stages of our recent Champions League 2nd round 2nd leg game at Celtic Park.

Supporters will have noticed that Andrew hasn't featured in any of our pre season games since that night in Glasgow and scan results have now revealed the extent of the injury.

We are now expecting Andrew to be out of action for several weeks and this will include the beginning of the new domestic league season but Andrew is working hard to ensure that he gets himself fully fit and back in the squad as soon as he possibly can, hopefully not too long after the start of the new season.

Jimmy Callacher and Matthew Clarke continue to make progress with their recoveries from recent injuries and it was pleasing to see Matthew today at the Oval without the crutches for the first time since he sustained the injury in our first leg Champions League home game against Celtic.

Hopefully, it will not be too long before Matthew and Jimmy, as well as Andrew return to full training with the rest of the squad, as they are all important, valuable and experienced players who we will need and rely on over the course of what's sure to be a long and challenging season ahead."
