David Healy looks ahead to Coleraine game

Posted : 26th April 2019

David Healy provides an update for supporters.

“I want to thank our supporters who’ve loyally followed the team, the length and breadth of the country throughout a long, demanding but ultimately, a highly successful season.

We’ve only got tomorrow’s game at Coleraine to complete the season before a well earned break for us all.

As I announced the other night, Mark Stafford will miss tomorrow’s game due to suspension and we’ve a couple of other players who are close to suspension, so they will not be risked in tomorrow’s game.

We’ve also got a few injury concerns and doubts and again, they will not be risked in tomorrow’s game.

As I always say, injuries and suspension are part and parcel of the game and the unavailability of some provides opportunities for others.

It was great to give game time to emerging young talent in Trai Hume, Caomhan McGuinness and Daniel Reynolds at Windsor Park on Tuesday night and we will again make full use of our squad to complete our match programme on Saturday.

Our supporters will get a great opportunity to see our emerging young talent in the Youth cup final at Windsor Park on Monday May 6 and I just want to take this opportunity to wish coach Ryan Prentice and his squad every success in this hugely prestigious game against St Oliver Plunkett.”
