Linfield kicked off their pre season schedule with a fixture away to Dundela on Saturday and continue the build up to the new season with a trip to Bangor on Saturday.
On Wednesday July 18 Linfield will welcome Waterford to Windsor Park for an attractive friendly game and a special souvenir match programme has been published to mark the occasion.
Due to the printers’ holiday commitments, the programme has already been produced and is on sale now in the Linfield Superstore for the benefit of any supporters who may miss the game, by going away on holiday.
It’s only a 16 page programme and it’s only priced at £1 but it’s a souvenir not to be missed.
The programme is packed with the usual regular features.
- Voice of Linfield
- Manager’s comments
- Fixtures for the new season
- Stats on last season
- Jamie Megarry welcomes new signing Brandon Doyle
- Dan Brown reflects on the All-Ireland Texaco Cup final games between Linfield and Waterford in 1974.
- A look at our welcome visitors from Waterford FC
The programme looks like last season’s publication but plans are at an advanced stage for a fresh new and different look for the first domestic home game of the season on August 10 against Institute.
This programme (remarkably) is the first issue of Look at Linfield that will not have the name Billy Kennedy recorded as editor, after the long serving former Linfield vice chairman recently stepped down from the role of programme editor, after an incredible 49 years of loyal, steadfast and excellent service.
Billy was recently appointed to the role of Honorary Vice President of the club in recognition of his outstanding contribution and service to the club in a variety of different roles over many many years.
Show your support for the club by buying a copy of next Wednesday’s match day programme and back issues of last season’s programme remain available in the Superstore.
