Over 2500 Linfield supporters voted in the online poll to determine the Player of the year.

A shortlist of 6 was disclosed from the voting figures - Mulgrew, Robinson, Stewart, Callacher, Casement and Waterworth - all of whom have also been named in the NIFL Team of the Year (along with Quinn).

The final top 3 was

1st - Jimmy Callacher
2nd - Jordan Stewart
3rd - Josh Robinson

Voting between the top 2 in particular was close with the lead actually changing hands significantly in the last 10 days of the poll.

There are 2 trophies - the cup which is engraved, handed down from Player to player and remains in the Windsor Park trophy cabinet.

And there is the Ronnie Morrison crystal trophy which the player gets to keep.

In the unavoidable absence this year of Ronnie Morrison, the trophy was presented by former Rangers scout Ewan Chester.

Jimmy becomes the first player to win this trophy twice.

And this award capped another double for Jimmy - he also won the Malcolm Brodie Players Player of the year award.
