Linfield players honoured at the 2019 NI Football Awards event
Danske Bank Premiership winners Linfield were one of the big winners at the 2019 NI Football Awards, scooping the Danske Bank Player of the Year and Manger of the Year awards, as well as seven places on the Premiership Team of the Year.
Jimmy Callacher bagged the prestigious Danske Bank Player of the Year award in front of a packed house of over 400 guests at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Belfast, as reward for a fantastic season.
Manager David Healy was awarded the Manager of the Year prize for a season that saw the Blues bring the Gibson Cup back to Windsor Park with a team that made up the majority of the 2018/19 Premiership Team of the Year – as Callacher was joined by captain Jamie Mulgrew, Chris Casement, Niall Quinn, Joshua Robinson, Jordan Stewart and Andrew Waterworth.
Leading goalscorer Andrew Waterworth also shared the Golden Boot with Cliftonville’s Joe Gormley as both scored 29 goals in all competitions this season.
The NI Football Awards is run in partnership between the NI Football League and the NI Football Writers’ Association and celebrates all that is good about football in Northern Ireland.
