Introducing Linfield’s newest vice-President

Linfield FC is delighted to announce the appointment of a further vice-president in Jacky Stewart.

Jacky, who is pictured at Windsor Park earlier today, spoke of his pride in taking up the prestigious new role, alongside other existing vice-presidents in David Sales, Gary Dickson. Robert Neill, Michael Jones, Andy Kerr MBE, Glenn Meikle, Billy Kennedy, Jim Kerr and Noel Bailie MBE.

“I am absolutely delighted to have been appointed a vice-president of our great club and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Linfield board for agreeing to bestow this great honour on me.

I have been an ardent supporter of Linfield from when I was a young boy and I got my first season ticket when I was 14. I either was lucky enough to get a lift from someone or I had to make my own way to the games, as the majority of my friends supported the team from the Shore Road.

Football and golf are my passion, although I also enjoy watching Ulster rugby. My wife Irene is a Linfield Life Member and we sit in the premier seat section of the South Stand every Saturday. I must say I enjoy a good laugh at some of the wit from a section of our supporters who sit near us.

I am really looking forward to working with the other club vice-presidents and contributing in every way I can, to promote our club and it’s continued success.”
