A month ago reported on a new partnership arrangement between Carrickfergus Manor and the club that would see a number of residents and Carrickfergus manor carers welcomed to home league games on a regular basis as guests of the club.

In recent times the club was represented by directors Drew McCoubrey and Jonathan Lamont at the official opening of the sports themed room 'The Albert Arms' in Carrickfergus Manor.

The room is decorated with various sporting memorabilia for residents to relax in and feel comfortable in and Linfield FC looks forward to welcoming residents and carers to Windsor Park when the occasions are convenient for them.

Linfield FC is fully supportive of the work being undertaken in the community by the staff at Carrickfergus Manor to look after the individuals in their care and a number of residents having declared their allegiances to this club, are looking forward to their upcoming return visits to Windsor Park.

The official opening of the sports themed room received media publicity in the local Carrickfergus press and pictured below is Linfield director Drew McCoubrey receiving a certificate from Jim Lunn of Carrickfergus Manor and Drew is also pictured presenting a match worn Cameron Stewart shirt to Joanne Neville, the manager of Carrickfergus manor.

Also present at the official opening of the Albert Arms were representatives of the Belfast Giants and Carrickfergus rugby club men’s and ladies sections. It was Jim from rockies bar in the odyssey who helped set up the project who cut the ribbon to declare ‘Albert Arms’ officially open.
