It’s a huge double header day for Linfield FC.
First up, its a packed Seaview with Linfield aiming to maintain a promising start in a 3pm kick off.
Then at 8pm at Mill Meadow, Castledawson, the home of Moyola Park Linfield Ladies will take on the cup holders Sion Swifts in a huge Irish Cup semi final.
The prize for the winners is an Irish Cup final at Windsor Park against Cliftonville or Glentoran on September 22.
For Linfield tonight it’s the 3rd game in less than a week - Monday’s UEFA Champions League game v Wexford was quickly followed by Wednesday’s league game v Derry City and tonight it’s an Irish Cup semi final v Sion Swifts.
Admission tonight is £3 or £1 concession.
Wednesday’s League game away to Portadown has been postponed due to
the call up of 7 Linfield players for the u19 internationals v Hungary at the Riada complex in Ballymoney on Monday and Wednesday.
The 7 Linfield under 19 internationals are Lauren Perry, Abbie Magee, Rebecca McKenna, Louise McDaniel, Kelsie Burrows, Naomi Donnan and Megan Bell.
Meanwhile, best wishes to our friends from Ajax who’ve been drawn against Sparta Prague and our friends from Thor / KA who’ve been drawn against Wolfsburg in the knock out stages of the UEFA Champions League.
