Linfield goalkeeper Lauren Perry was stretchered off in the 22nd minute of a Northern Ireland under 19s friendly game against Hungary at the Riada Stadium in Ballymoney on Monday evening, after falling awkwardly on her knee.

Lauren was due to have a scan on her injured knee yesterday, but she will not be available for the second match against the Hungarians which is taking place in Ballymoney again tonight at 7pm.

The best wishes of everyone at Linfield Football Club are extended to our young star keeper for a full and speedy recovery.

The game which ended 2-2 saw 6 Linfield players feature in the starting eleven. The six were Lauren Perry, Naomi Donnan, Kelsie Burrows, Megan Bell, Louise McDaniel and Rebecca McKenna. In addition, Linfield's Zoe Kilpatrick was an unused sub.

After a scoreless first half captain Megan Bell fired in a cross which her Linfield team mate Kelsie Burrows duly converted to make it 1-0 to Northern Ireland.

The home side then doubled their lead in the 55th minute. Bell was fouled on the edge of the area and from the resulting free-kick, she smashed the ball into the top corner for what was a cracking effort.

Due to these international call-ups, tonight's Danske Bank NIFL Premier League game away to Portadown has been postponed.
