NIFL Danske Bank Premier League Trophy to be presented on October 14

Posted : 2nd October 2018 at 09:12:49

Linfield Ladies will be presented with the NIFL Danske Bank Women’s Premier League Trophy after the final game - against Crusaders at New Midgley Park on October 14.

It’s been a most eventful season with 2 trophies won - the Premier League and League Cup, two Cup finals lost - the Irish Cup and County Antrim FA Cup and 2 serious long term injuries to star players Alison Smyth and Lauren Perry.

In addition, there was a UEFA Champions League Group stage campaign in which creditable results were obtained against full time opponents and having reached every domestic cup final, it means our players played in every possible game that was available to them over the course of a dramatic season.

On top of that many of our players also had international commitments at various age levels - senior and under age and indeed there are six involved in an under 19 squad in Portadown tonight.

Linfieldfc.com looks back at the facts and figures behind the 2018 season in which the Premier League and League Cup trophies were both retained.
