16 year old Caitlin McGuinness scored for Northern Ireland under 17s in their 3-1 tournament defeat away to Greece yesterday.
Also playing were her Linfield team mates Casey Howe, Kirsty Cameron and Mia Fitzsimmons.
In her absence on international duty in Greece, Linfield’s Enniskillen girl Casey Howe was last night named NIWFA U19 Player of the Year and leading goalscorer and the awards were collected by her parents at the NIWFA awards event in Belfast.
The Greek quartet will also miss out on Linfield’s league title winning celebrations after tomorrow’s final home league game against Crusaders.
The Linfield Ladies Youth Academy aim to be in attendance in strength at tomorrow’s league game to cheer on the squad as first team captain Sarah Venney lifts the Premier League Trophy for a third year in a row.
And on a weekend when Linfield will wrap up their season with a rearranged league game against Crusaders, the under 15s of Linfield defeated their Crusaders counterparts by a 4-3 margin last night.
