19 year old Linfield star Lauren Robson has joined the Manchester City Academy.
Lauren picked up an Irish Cup Winners medal in 2014, aged just 15 when Linfield defeated Newry City at Clandeboye Park.
She went on to become a regular left back or left sided midfielder.
In early September this year she left Belfast to study Law at university in Manchester.
She’s now combining her studies with joining the Manchester City Academy.
Although she’d left Belfast in early September she still returned to feature in the Linfield squad for the Windsor Park Irish Cup final against Glentoran on Saturday September 22.
Lauren missed Sunday’s final league game at New Midgley Park after which the league trophy and winners medals were presented.
However, Lauren had played in most of the league games over the course of the title winning season and so qualified for a league Winners medal which was collected on her behalf by her aunt on Sunday.
The best wishes of everyone at Linfield FC are extended to Lauren for her university studies in Manchester and for her football opportunity with Manchester City.
