Linfield to learn UEFA Champions League group stages destination tomorrow

After the excitement of the UEFA men’s champions league draw which took place in Switzerland earlier this week, tomorrow it’s the turn of the women’s UEFA Champions League draw which will place at the same venue near Geneva.
Linfield will be in the women’s champions league group stages for the third consecutive year but unlike the previous two years when the games were staged in Belfast, on this occasion Linfield’s three games in early August will be held on the continent.
Linfield have learned the 9 possible destinations where their 3 games will take place as Linfield will be drawn into a group which will be hosted by one of the following clubs / countries.
Gintra Universitetas - Lithuania - top seed
FC Twente - Holland - top seed
SFK 2000 Sarajevo - Bosnia - top seed
WFC Kharkiv - Ukraine - second seed
WFC Pomruje Beltiici - Slovenia - second seed
RSC Anderlecht - Belguim - third seed
SK Slovan Bratislava - Slovakia - third seed
FK Breznica Pljevlja - Montenegro - third seed
FC Flora Tallinn - Estonia - third seed
Latvians Rigas Futbola skola are the other group hosts but Linfield cannot be drawn in their group as both clubs are 4th seeds.
If Linfield haven’t been drawn against a third seed host above, one of the other third seeds below will be in Linfield’s group.

Two years ago Linfield were drawn in a group comprising Poles KKPK Medyk Konin, Finns PK-35 Vantaa and Shelboune while last year Linfield were drawn against Ajax Amsterdam, Icelandic Thor-KA and Wexford Youths.
Businesses and supporters clubs are welcome to assist with sponsorship of Linfield’s participation in the UEFA women’s champions league group stages in early August.
