Glentoran Colts 1 Linfield Rangers 3

Both teams made a lot of changes to their semi final line ups as Linfield Rangers defeated Glentoran Colts for the second time in a week on Saturday.

As in the semi final Linfield opened strongly and put Glentoran on the back foot and it was no surprise when Aaron Duke slotted home from 10 yards after 15 minutes. As play became congested and scrappy, Linfield had to wait till the 40th minute before extending their lead, Duke again on target with a header from 8 yards folowing a good cross from Piarais Webb.

The game somewhat was turned on its head in the opening minutes of the second half when Linfield were reduced to ten men and minutes later Glentoran reduced the deficit when McSorley's header found the net. The expected Glentoran onslaught never really arrived and on 65 minutes Linfield went further ahead when Stuart Muldrew found space in the box to fire into the corner of the net from 12 yards to give the Rangers a deserved 3 points.

Team: Deane, Arthur, Parker, McLaughlin, McGrath, Devine, Muldrew, Murray, Duke, McGahan, Webb, Knipe, Hunsdale, Marshall, Edgar, Dempster
