Linfield Swifts won a penalty shoot out 4-3 at Solitude tonight after a George Wilson cup quarter final 3-3 draw against Cliftonville at Solitude.

The Swifts trailed 3-0 before a Linfield goal reduced the half time deficit to 3-1.

2 Second half Linfield goals meant the 90 minutes score was 3-3 and the game headed to extra time.

Linfield’s goals were scored by Jake Corbett, Jack Scott and Charlie Allen.

No extra time goals meant the tie had to be settled by way of a penalty shoot out.

Young keeper Luis Finlay was the hero making two saves from the spot as Linfield sealed a 4-3 penalty shoot out win.

One of the Linfield penalties was scored by Captain Caomhan McGuinness on a night when his 2 sisters were also on the scoresheet for Linfield in their 5-0 league win against Cliftonville at New Midgley Park.
