Everyone at Linfield FC is missing our team being in action and wants to see the return of normality, so that the team can return to action, to hopefully conclude what has been an exciting domestic season.
A week or so ago Linfield TV released a first ever video re run of a 90 minute game - a Big Two Derby at Windsor Park four years ago and it went down very well with our supporters who are clearly missing live action in these unprecedented and challenging times.
There have been numerous requests for further such video releases from supporters who are clearly keen to occupy themselves while social distancing or self isolating at home, in accordance with the current government guidelines to restrict the spread of the contagious corona virus.
Linfield FC is now pleased to announce that we have come up with a novel, positive and enjoyable way to assist supporters during the course of the month of April.
We are going to re run the dramatic climax to the 2016/17 season as live - broadcasting the final 4 games of the League winning season, along with the Irish Cup Final
The fixtures will be released on their equivalent match days three years ago
First up - on MD 35 it will be Ballymena United (A) on Saturday April 11
Then on MD 36 - it will be Glenavon (H) on Easter Tuesday - April 14
On MD 37 - the penultimate game, Coleraine (A) will be on April 18
The final momentous MD 38 game - Cliftonville (A) will be on April 25
To cap it all off on May 2, the Coleraine game (Irish Cup Final) will be broadcast
Relive the great memories of an amazing end of season from 3 years ago, to help ease the burden of no live football during the month of April.
Let Linfield TV transport you back to happier, less stressful times as David Healy’s team closed in on a thrilling League and cup double.
It won’t be the April 2020 fixtures we envisaged several weeks ago but at least it’s something, to help ease us through these difficult next few weeks.
