Linfield FC records with sadness the passing yesterday of Richard ‘Spud’ Murphy, a lifelong Linfield supporter and season ticket holder.
Richard passed away a day before what would have been his 55th birthday today.
Richard was a proud member of Springdale LSC and only last Saturday presented the club’s player of the year trophy to Jimmy Callacher at their AGM at Woodvale cricket club.

The deepest sympathy and most sincere condolences of everyone at Linfield FC are conveyed to the family circle at this very sad time.

Died May 25, 2019, peacefully, in London, beloved husband of Diane, much-loved father of Chanel, Chereen, Karise and Richard and devoted grandfather of Nadine, Amelia, Lily-Rose and Joseph.
Funeral Cortege to leave his home, 43 Montgomery Chase on Friday 7th at 1.00 p.m. for Funeral Service in Roselawn Crematorium at 2.00 p.m.
