A busy schedule for Linfield and our supporters

Posted : 12th January 2019 at 07:34:15

It’s a busy period for Linfield FC and our supporters, with a total of 10 games scheduled between today and the end of February.

All attention is focused on today’s game against a very in form Warrenpoint team and to attend today’s game, supporters can use their members / season ticket, or buy a match ticket from the ticket office before the game.

Supporters who have not already done so, are encouraged to buy their ticket today for next week’s huge top of the table league clash against Crusaders at Seaview - the first of 3 such meetings in the coming weeks.

Adult tickets for Seaview will be on sale from the ground floor reception in the Railway Stand today - or online via the Crusaders FC website.

While attention is always focused on games on a one game at a time basis, Linfield must also prepare for games further down the line and at present, supporters should be aware that over the coming days, it’s highly likely that match tickets will be going on sale for 3 huge cup games, more or less at the same time.

This will of course have huge financial implications for many of our supporters.

The 3 Cup games are

Linfield v Crusaders - Irish Cup - February 2

The above Windsor Park game is All-Ticket, with members and season tickets not valid. Linfield hopes to begin ticket sales for this game at some stage towards the end of next week.

Crusaders v Linfield - County Antrim Shield Final - February 5

The County Antrim FA have advised this club that the above game is All-Ticket at the Ballymena Showgrounds. At present we don’t know when or how tickets will be on sale but we expect it will be fairly soon.

Linfield v Ballymena - League Cup final - February 16

It’s Linfield’s first League Cup final in 11 long years and NIFL have announced that tickets for the Windsor Park Final will be on sale next week - the majority online from the ticketmaster website, with a significant number also on sale from the clubs.

The above adds to up to tickets for these 3 huge games going on sale fairly close together and while this club has every sympathy for supporters’ budgets after Christmas, the situation cannot be avoided, due to the way these huge fixtures have fallen.

Linfield encourages supporters to plan their budgets and finances to enable them to buy tickets to get to all these games, as we will need all our supporters to cheer us on in these difficult and hugely important games.

In addition to these cup games, supporters will also have 4 huge Windsor Park League games - today v Warrenpoint, Jan. 28 v Glentoran, Feb. 9 v Coleraine and Feb. 23 v Ballymena and never has the value of a Linfield season ticket been more apparent, as supporters face up to this busy schedule including these 3 all ticket cup games over the coming weeks.

To complete the fixture list over the January / February period, Linfield supporters will also have two pay at the gate games away to Newry City - January 22 and February 26.

All in all, it’s a huge period for Linfield FC and our supporters and the club wants to see our supporters plan their finances, to ensure they get to as many of these games as possible, to inspire the team to hopefully as many wins as possible over this hugely important period of our season.

It all starts today against an in form Warrenpoint Town team who have impressed in their 2 previous visits to Windsor Park.
