Left Back from Glengormley in his first season. Great left foot and was a member of this years NI International U17 European Championship Squad.

Promoted to first team squad - March 29, 2012.

David Jeffrey describes Niall (March 31, 2012) as a player who "can play at centre back or left back but he is particularly strong at left back. He is a mixture of John Easton and Pat McShane. He is tenacious and tough in the tackle, yet he has great distribution."

On 28 February 2013 Niall signed a 2 year contract extension commiting him to the club till the end of the 2014/15 season.

Signed a new 2 year contract on Saturday December 20, 2014 to take effect on the expiry of his current contact at the season.

Played his 100th game when he came on as a sub in a 2-0 away defeat by Portadown on Saturday November 28, 2015.

Niall agreed a 2 year contract extension on January 12, 2017 to take effect at the expiry of his current contract at the end of the season.

Played his 150th Linfield game in a 2-0 win away to Ballymena on April 15, 2017.

Played his 200th Linfield game in a 0-0 draw at home to Ards on September 1, 2018.

Agreed a 3 year contract extension in November 2018 to take effect on the expiry of his existing contract at the end of the season.

Played his 250th game in a 1-0 home win against Glentoran on September 14, 2019.

On March 1, 2021 Niall signed a contract extension committing himself to the club until the end of the 2022/23 season.

Played his 300th game in a 2-1 defeat by Ballymena on March 23, 2021. Captained the side with Jamie Mulgrew injured.

Awarded Testimonial season 2022-23

Made his 350th appearance as a late sub in a 1-0 away win against Crusaders in the County Antrim Shield on September 6, 2022.

Niall won 5 Irish League winners medals, 2 Irish Cup winners medals, 1 League Cup winners medal and 2 County Antrim Shield winners medals with Linfield.

His final appearance was as a sub in a 2-0 away league win against Cliftonville on April 29, 2023. His final goal was in a 1-0 away league win against Coleraine on April 15, 2023.

On May 11, 2023 the Club provided confirmation that Niall was leaving Linfield on the expiry of his contract later that month.
