In January 2022, Cameron agreed a contract extension to take effect from the end of the season until the end of the 2022/23 season.

His final appearance was as a sub in a 7-0 home league win against Newry City on March 18, 2023. His final goal was in a 4-0 home league win against Dungannon on December 17, 2022.

He won League winners medals in 2020/21 and 2021/22 as well as an Irish Cup winners medal v Larne in 2020/21 and a League Cup winners medal as an unused sub v Coleraine in 2022/23.

On May 11, 2023 the Club provided confirmation that Cameron was leaving Linfield on the expiry of his contract later that month.
