David Healy pays tribute to 2 players who’ve returned to Scotland.
“Our 2 Scottish lads, Rohan Ferguson and Rory Currie have now reached the end of their loan spells with us and have returned to Scotland to further their careers.
It’s sad that they didn’t get to see out the season with us and their time with us was prematurely ended because of the unprecedented circumstances that everyone has found themselves in.
I want to thank them both for their contribution to our efforts this season and wish them well in their future endeavours.
Rohan was virtually an ever present for us this season and he was hugely popular with everyone at the club.
I remember his debut out in Tórshavn when he made several outstanding saves to ensure we came home with a 2-2 draw. But for those vital saves, we may not have progressed to enjoy the great run we had to the play offs of the Europa League.
I hear he’s just been released by Motherwell but when I spoke with him last, he was hoping to get a full time contract in England or Scotland.
I can’t praise him enough, as he fitted in really well with everybody and he was excellent for us in the time he spent with us. I know he enjoyed his time with us and I’m sure he will do well wherever he ends up next.
Young Rory Currie only joined us in January and didn’t get as long a time to make the impression I believe he’s capable of. I’ve been in contact with him also and he knows he could return at some stage but he too is hopeful of a full time deal back in Scotland.
I know I’m speaking on behalf of all our players, staff, management, directors and supporters when I wish both Rohan and Rory every best wish for the future.”
