On Friday the decor of the Linfeld office and boardroom in the Railway Stand at Windsor Park was greatly enhanced when several iconic images from this club's illustrious history were put in place on the walls in proud tribute to some of the great players who made significant contributions in the club's cause down through the years,
A sub committee of club directors has been working on the this project in recent times and Linfieldfc.com is delighted to illustrate the images below from phase one of what will be an ongoing project across the stadium in the coming months.
Below - the first image on the wall at the front reception desk - Noel Bailie lifts the Setanta Cup in 2005.
Below - the wall between the secretary's office and the managers office - the Linfield team with the Setanta Cup in 2005.
Below - the other images in the office - Andrew Waterworth celebrates a goal and Peter Thompson celebrates scoring the goal that won the Irish Cup to clinch the 2006 Clean Sweep.
Below - the boardroom image of the one and only Raff on team mates shoulders proudly displaying the Irish Cup trophy at the Oval in 1980.
Below - legendary forwards down through the decades - Bambrick - Milburn - Dickson - Ferguson.
The images are a welcome addition to the decor of the modern new Linfield office in the Railway Stand at Windsor Park and work is now well underway to add a similar Linfield flavour and identity to the match day surroundings of the South Stand for our players in the tunnel area and for our supporters in the hospitality lounges.
Further progress updates will be provided on this important matter for everyone at the club in due course.
