On this August 29 date last year Linfield lost 2-1 in Baku against Qarabag of Azerbaijan in the Europa League play off second leg.
The hosts led from the 7th minute and added a second on 87 minutes. However, Shayne Lavery pulled a goal back for Linfield in injury time to reduce the deficit.
Linfield had won the first leg 3-2 and so it was the Azeris who qualified for the group stages after winning the tie on the away goals rule.

Glenn Ferguson, captain on the night, gave Linfield a 43rd minute lead and the visitors were reduced to 10 men on 63 minutes when a player was red carded.
In the 79th minute Ferguson and the visiting captain also picked up red cards and Stabaek grabbed an 82nd minute equaliser to win the tie 5-1 on aggregate.
