On this August 10 date in 1995 Linfield lost 4-1 to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Cup Winners cup first round, first leg in the Ukraine.
The Linfield goal was scored by Scotsman Allan Ewing who sadly passed away last year.
The city of Donetsk has of course (along with the rest of the Ukraine) endured the horrors of war over the past few months.
