Congratulations from everyone at Linfield FC to popular and well known local celebrity James Martin who played a starring role in the production ‘An Irish Goodbye’ which picked up the hugely prestigious Oscars Award for the best Live action Short Film at last night’s red carpet awards ceremony in Los Angeles, USA.

It was the perfect and most unforgettable way for James to celebrate his 31st birthday.

Last month James was in London to receive the the BAFTA award, as ‘An Irish Goodbye’ was named the best British short film at the BAFTA awards ceremony.

James is pictured below with Linfield manager David Healy after a Windsor Park game in 2019 and presenting Chris Shields with the Linfield man of the match award following the recent home league game against Coleraine.

James is the son of the well known, leading local radio broadcaster and sports journalist, Ivan Martin who was in attendance at yesterday’s BetMcLean Cup final at Windsor Park.
