Ballyclare LSC shows support for local community

In the past few days kind hearted members of the Ballyclare LSC have made a generous donation of £500 towards the Ballyclare and district food bank appeal, to assist with the supply of essential supplies to those in most need in their surrounding area, at this time of medical and financial crisis across our land.

Linfield vice chairman and Ballyclare LSC President Stephen Dickson was quick to commend the Ballyclare club for their show of support for people who may be experiencing hardship in their area because of the impact of this corona virus pandemic.

“I’ve always been proud to be president of the Ballyclare club but when their secretary Amos Scott rang to tell me about this wonderful gesture, I felt even prouder to be associated with such a caring club showing practical and tangible support for those who may be enduring tough times at the moment because of the impact that this terrible virus is having on their lives and their families’ lives.

I’m sure this great donation will be of real benefit to those providing this food bank service and I’m sure that even more so, those who receive the deliveries from the food bank will really appreciate the kindness that has been displayed through this generous donation from the Ballyclare club at this really tough and challenging time in our country.

It’s great that Ballyclare and our other supporters clubs have been so thoughtful in thinking of others in this time of crisis.”
