Special charity game in Bangor on Sunday

Posted : 28th May 2022 at 21:28:01

Tomorrow (Sunday, 29 May) a Linfield Legends team will take on a Linfield Supporters' team.

The match kicks off at 12-30pm and entrance by cash at the gate is £3 minimum.

The venue is the Bangor Fuels Arena, home of Bangor FC.

It's a strong Legends team with the likes of Jim Ervin, Mark Stafford, Mark Picking, David Larmour and Glenn 'Spike' Ferguson all involved.

This match is in aid of two fantastic causes.

1. Three-year-old Zion Cassidy was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in December 2020. His parents are fundraising to raise money to take him for pioneering trials to give him the best chance of fighting the disease.

2. Yasmin Gordon was paralyzed in a car crash and needs medical attention and help in her daily day to day life.

Hopefully, the money raised in this match can help both parties get the help they need.

The bar will be open afterwards and a Q&A with Linfield legends will commence from 4pm.

A number of special items will be up for auction, including signed and framed Jamie Mulgrew matchworn boots and Mulgrew pictures.

Other items will be for sale and there will be ballots and raffles.

All support appreciated for what's shaping up to be a great day for very worthwhile causes.
