Charity game in Bangor a great success

Yesterday's Charity match at the Bangor Fuels Arena proved to be a great success with money raised in aid of Zion Cassidy and Yasmin Gordon.

The Linfield Supporters team - managed by former Linfield star Alan Dornan - gave a good account of themselves with a spirited performance but the Legends showed their class as they won 6-2, although the result was not particularly important.

The Legends team included Andy Hunter, William 'Winkie' Murphy, Steven Douglas, Mark Stafford, Jim Ervin, Michael Gault, Aaron McKee, John Martin, Mark Picking, Glenn Ferguson, David Larmour, Dean Gordon, Matthew Tipton, and John Martin's son, Phoenix.

The goal scorers for the Legends were Matthew Tipton (x2), Davy Larmour (x2), Mark Stafford, and John Martin.

Gareth McConnell and Michael Hughes were on the scoresheet for the Linfield Supporters team.

There was entertainment afterwards provided by local comedian Tim McGarry and there was an auction and raffles to raise further funds for the two worthwhile causes.

Well done to everyone involved.
