On this May 20 date in 1949 Linfield Swifts won the County Antrim Shield.
The Swifts beat Bangor 4-1 at Grosvenor Park thanks to goals from Mackey, Dickson, Houston and Graham.
The team line up was - Friel, Houston, Barr, Liggett, Hamill, McCloy, Graham, Kelly, Orr, Dickson and Mackey.
It was the third attempt to settle the outcome of the final - all at Grosvenor Park. The first game on May 7 finished 2-2 with Graham and Dickson on the scoresheet.
In the first replay on May 14, the result was 3-3 with Graham, Campbell and Dickson scoring for the Swifts.
On the way to the final the Swifts had accounted for Distillery after a first round replay and Cliftonville in the second round. Belfast Celtic withdrew from the competition ahead of the semi final, meaning the Swifts progressed to the final.
The Linfield first team were eliminated by Brantwood from the competition after a first round second replay.
