Linfield came away from Tolka Park with a 1-0 win in another entertaining and competitive behind closed doors training game.

The only goal came in the 7th minute and was a carbon copy of the opening goal in Monday's behind closed doors training game against Bohemians.

A free kick by Kirk Millar from wide left was headed into his own net by a defender under pressure from Niall Quinn.

Kyle McClean was an 11th minute sub for Stephen Fallon.

On 13 minutes Alex Moore produced a fine low save to deny Aaron Dobbs an equaliser for the home side.

In the 15th minute a Niall Quinn corner was headed just wide by Jimmy Callacher.

Matthew Shevlin was a 26th minute sub for Shayne Lavery.

Half-Time Shelboune 0 Linfield 1

Jordan Stewart was a half time sub for Matthew Clarke

A minute into the second half a delightful chip by Jordan Stewart went just inches the wrong side of the post.

Brandon Doyle was a 55th minute sub for Kirk Millar.

Two further substitutions took place on the hour mark, Trai Hume replacing Mark Stafford with Ethan Boyle going into central defence and a trialist replacing Daniel Kearns.

A fine move almost produced a second goal after 70 minutes - a right wing cross from Jordan Stewart was headed across goal by Matthew Shevlin but the ball just evaded the trialist on the goal line and was cleared by a defender.

On 72 minutes Alex Moore produced a super save to again deny Aaron Dobbs. It was almost a replica of the first half save, only this was even better as Alex instinctively cleared a low goalbound left foot shot with his foot.

On 73 minutes a Brandon Doyle shot was well saved low at the post by the home keeper.

As per the norm in these training games allowance for rolling subs permitted Matthew Clarke to return in place of a limping Matthew Shevlin in the 77th minute.

On 82 and 85 minutes fine shots by Dobbs and Cetiner went just wide of the post for the home side.

Brandon Doyle received a yellow card for an 88th minute foul.

An excellent work out all round with game time provided for quite a few players.
