Gospel Goal show support for NHS at Easter

Posted : 12th April 2020 at 10:26:10

On this special Easter Sunday morning, it’s an appropriate time to re-run a news item first published on December 1, 2019.

Last weekend it was the birthday of Paul Clydesdale, one of the main representatives of Gospel Goal, a trackside advertiser at Windsor Park.

To mark his birthday, Paul wanted to make a cash donation to a good cause at several clubs sponsored by Gospel Goal at this time of national emergency.

Linfield FC representatives asked a contact in one of the wards at the nearby Belfast City Hospital what we could buy with the money to help the staff in these most challenging of times.

The items requested were subsequently bought and presented to the ward staff at the City Hospital to be used for the benefit of staff working difficult and stressful shifts in these difficult and unprecedented times.

Linfield FC would like to pass on our thanks to our good friend and sponsorship partner Paul Clydesdale at Gospel Goal for his kind, thoughtful and most appreciated gesture.

Have as Happy an Easter as is possible in these unusual circumstances

Paul Clydesdale from Gospel Goal was at Windsor Park yesterday with his son Noah to present a cheque to Linfield general manager Pat Fenlon to extend their sponsorship of their trackside advertising board which is located at the Kop end of Windsor Park.

Paul said that, "Linfield hold a special place for us as the Windsor board was the group's first, and has been in place for five years, and we want to thank Linfield for all of the support and assistance that they have given us over that period."

He added that, "the success of the Windsor initiative kick started things for us, and we now have over 25 pitch side boards at other grounds across Northern Ireland and Scotland."
