On March 20 last year, 74 year old Isaac Hamilton passed away peacefully in hospital, after an illness.
Isaac, from the Woodvale area of North Belfast, was vice-chairman of the Dunmurry based Kingsway Linfield Supporters Club, although he had previously been Club chairman for many years.
As the circumstances of the time of his passing coincided with the beginning of the pandemic, his devoted family were unable to give him a ‘proper’ funeral, due to the restrictions that were put in place for gatherings at the time.
However, his family were determined to host an evening in memory of Isaac when circumstances allowed and an opportunity arose recently for such a tribute event close to Isaac’s North Belfast home.
The event raised a terrific sum of money to be donated in Isaac’s memory to the Children’s Hospice and the acknowledgement from the Hospice and the photo of the presentation follow below.
“Thank you to the Hamilton family who organised a special fundraising night In memory of Isaac Hamilton at The Mountain View Social Club. Thank you for this amazing donation of £1,520.00 to Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice”.
