Following NIFL's announcement today of the curtailment of the 2019/20 league season with immediate effect, Linfield FC can now confirm the following.
Danske Bank NIFL Premier League
Friday March 20
Postponed Glentoran v Linfield game
In accordance with normal procedures, the money this club received from our supporters from ticket sales for the above game has remained in the possession of Linfield FC, pending a decision on the rearrangement of the fixture.
Now that it has been confirmed that this game is not going to be rescheduled, Linfield FC can advise the following.
Firstly, this club would thank supporters for the patience and understanding that has been shown in awaiting a decision in this matter, due to the sad and unprecedented circumstances that have existed across the world over the past few months.
Secondly, this club would also thank the significant number of supporters who have contacted the club to say that they wish their money from the purchase of their match ticket to be donated to the club's official charity - the Northern Ireland Children's Hospice.
This is particularly timely at present, as this is the official, annual 'Northern Ireland Children's Hospice Week'.
As a result, this club will be donating total ticket receipts less refunds for this postponed match to the Northern Ireland Children's Hospice and hopefully, this will amount to a sizeable donation in support of our official partner charity who undertake such wonderful work on behalf of so many children in their care.
Supporters wishing to claim a match ticket refund should note the following.
The Windsor Superstore is presently closed and refunds will only be possible when it reopens.
Please keep up to date with news on this website as to when the Superstore will be open for refunds.
Social distancing measures will be in place and must be observed in and outside the Superstore when it reopens.
Tickets will only be refunded in exchange for the original match ticket. There will be no exception to this requirement.
There will be a limited period available for refunds and on the expiry of the publicised deadline, unclaimed match ticket money will be transferred to the Children's Hospice.
Linfield FC would like to place on record our sincere appreciation to the significant number of supporters who have shown considerable kindhearted generosity in wanting their match ticket money to be donated to our official charity partner, a very worthy and important cause.
Details will be announced in due course with regard to members / season tickets and as always, this club will rely on the patience and understanding of our supporters in bearing with us until such time as the club has announced the details and is in a position to reopen the Superstore and office.
