This is an update on the news item dated June 23, with regard to tickets sold for the postponed league game at the Oval on March 20.
The generosity and public spiritedness of the Linfield support has been much in evidence with hundreds of supporters having contacted the club to inform us that their money from the ticket purchases for this game should be donated to this club’s official charity - the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice.
As a result, this club expects to be in a position to make a substantial donation to this extremely worthwhile and very deserving cause.
Full details of the precise amount of this donation will be revealed on Linfieldfc.com at the time of the presentation to our official partner charity.
Earlier today, Linfield FC announced the reopening of the Windsor Superstore at 2pm on Thursday.
Any supporters wishing to claim a refund of their match ticket for the postponed league game are advised of the following arrangements.
Refunds are only possible in person at the Windsor Superstore on production of the original match ticket. There can be no exception to this requirement to provide the match ticket.
Social distancing Regulations must be observed in and outside the Superstore.
The deadline for any refunds to be collected is the close of Superstore business on Saturday August 1.
All monies which have not been Refunded from the total receipts from ticket sales from this postponed game by this deadline of 1pm on Saturday August 1 will soon after be donated to our official partner charity, the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice.
On behalf of the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice, a huge thank you to the hundreds of our supporters who’ve kindly and generously asked that their ticket purchase money be donated to our official charity.
