Important update for members / season ticket holders regarding ticket allocation for away game v The New Saints

Posted : 23rd June 2022 at 09:22:21

The New Saints v Linfield
UEFA Champions League
First round, first leg
Tuesday July 5

Linfield FC can confirm that the club's allocation of just over 200 match tickets for the above game has not been used up, through the expressions of interest that have been received from club members, senior members and life members over the past few days.

This means that the members who have expressed their interest in acquiring a match ticket before last night's deadline, will now be able to do so, without the need for a ballot.

Members are reminded that before, or upon paying for / collecting their match ticket, evidence of travel arrangements needs to be provided in the same name as the member buying the match ticket.

Travelling Members are advised that the match tickets are not yet available and further details concerning next week's payment / collection arrangements will be provided on official Linfield media in due course.

Any member who is now allocated a match ticket and who wishes to withdraw from this process, is asked to notify the club as soon as possible.

A very small number of match tickets remain available for this eagerly anticipated game and as previously advised, these are now being offered to members and season ticket holders, subject to availability.

The remaining match tickets are being offered to members and season ticket holders on the same basis as they were previously offered to members.

Members and Season ticket holders wanting to apply for one match ticket per member / season ticket holder are asked to email with the following details

- Name

- Member / Season ticket number

- Email address and contact phone number

These details need to be submitted in an expression of interest email by the deadline of 10am on Saturday morning. (June 25).

It is highly likely that there will be more expressions of interest than there are available match tickets and assuming that will be the case, a ballot will take place to determine the lucky, successful members / season ticket holders.

A waiting or reserve list will be drawn for the eventuality that there are withdrawals or non-take ups from those who were initially successful in the ballot.

The lucky and successful members / season ticket holders will be contacted by email by the club to notify them of their need to arrange payment for and collection of tickets.

As was the case when club members were previously offered the opportunity to apply for match tickets, members / season ticket holders who are successful in this process will be required to provide evidence of travel arrangements in the same name as the member / season ticket holder when paying for / collecting match tickets.

As always, Linfield FC will appreciate and rely on the cooperation, patience and understanding of our loyal supporters as the club concludes this ticket allocation process for this hugely important fixture.

Further updates on this matter will follow in due course.
